- 250g (2 cups) "00" flour or all-purpose flour
- 150ml (⅔ cup) warm water
- 3g (½ tsp) dry yeast
- 1 pinch of sugar
- 5g (1 tsp) salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Toppings:
- 200g (1 cup) canned San Marzano tomatoes (or high-quality tomato sauce)
- 125g (½ cup) fresh mozzarella cheese
- 50g (¼ cup) spicy salami (or pepperoni)
- 1 small red chili (sliced, optional for extra heat)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
1️⃣ Mix yeast and sugar into warm water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
2️⃣ Add the yeast mixture to the flour, then add salt and olive oil.
3️⃣ Knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4️⃣ Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 2-3 hours until doubled in size.
Step 2: Assemble the Pizza
1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 250°C (480°F).
2️⃣ Roll out the dough into a thin circle.
3️⃣ Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
